Classroom Rules! 

Every year I  have all my students come up with their own rules for the classroom. I know you thinking OH NO! but it works out to my advantage. 

1.) I explain to them I am going to let them come up with the classroom rules and remind them to keep it appropriate. 

2.) Pass out post-it-notes to allow them to write their rule on. 

3.) After they are done writing their rules I allow share my three rules first. I explain to them that I want them to post their rule where it fits. Example: No food or drinks in the classroom----> Classroom Environment. 

The Students notice that even though I have three rules there are tons of stipulations to each rule. :)
